Why were the A13 and A14 motorways chosen for the rollout of free-flow tolls?

The A13 and A14 motorways are particularly suitable for the rollout of free-flow tolls. The 5 toll barriers between Paris and Caen, regularly experience traffic congestion during the week, at weekends and at the start of the holidays.

By doing away with stopping at toll gates, the free flow system will reduce traffic congestion on these motorways.
